The day began with Josie getting ready at a local Air BnB with her 10 bridesmaids! Her support system is very solid and evident by the amount of help everyone was continuously offering. Although the forecast was not in our favor that morning due to spring time rain in April, the bridesmaids made sure to always keep our bride dry and handed out umbrellas to everyone. We were ready to take the day!

Pedro was simultaneously capturing Victor getting ready at his home while Natalie focused on the the Bride and Bridal Party. One of the sweetest moments was when Josie had her first look with her father and then both of her parents prayed over/ blessed her right before we left to the church.

Catholic Ceremony

Victor never took his eyes off of his bride as she walked down the aisle with her parents hand in hand. During our consultation call they emphasized the importance of the ceremony and religious aspects of their wedding day. They explained to me that they brought in a Priest they were friends with to perform their ceremony. The Priest knew these individuals on a personal level and was able to deliver such a personal and well orchestrated ritual ceremony. The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is one of the largest cathedrals west of the Mississippi River and each seat in the church was filled with loved ones. It was so powerful to see everyone so linked and invested in Josie & Victor's love for one another and their love for God. Victor & Josie are part of a lovely Catholic church youth group located in Sacramento called SEARCH. They also expressed to us that they wanted a large group photo with their fellow SEARCHERS so we did just that!

For The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, we highly recommend two photographers in order to cover the large area.

Post-Ceremony Photos

Fun Fact: Our couple had the luck of also enduring rain during their engagement session. Not only did we relocate their engagement session due to rain but we also had to relocate the location of their Wedding portraits. Luckily for us, Sacramento has a variety of locations that offer some shelter from the weather in case of bad weather. I will also include some photos of their engagement session :)

Reception

The most tear dropping moment was when Josie surprised Victor with a Mother/ Son dance and had her mother dance a song with him. Unfortunately, Victor explained to us that he lost his beautiful mother a few years ago. Although, I am certain he would have loved to have her there to witness his marriage, I know he felt his mothers love and touch through Josie's mom.
